e Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G offers quality monitoring in a one rack unit package. It has two subwoofers, full-range speakers and an ultra-powerful class D amplifier. This audio and video monitoring solution features a state-of-the-art 12G-SDI input, as well as XLR balanced analog, AES/EBU balanced digital and consumer HiFi audio inputs. The elegant front panel is equipped with multi-color audio level meters, an LCD screen for monitoring video sources and an HDMI 2.0 output for monitoring Ultra HD signals on the big screen.

The two stereo SDI inputs can be switched at the touch of a button, so this solution is perfect for controlling foreign language tracks. Its compact size makes it ideal for use in portable stations and OB vans where space is at a premium. In addition, it can also be used in post-production studios that must use very high quality audio signals.

The Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G has been engineered using state-of-the-art audio analysis technology to create an extended, flat frequency response curve that delivers clear highs and deep, powerful lows. You get exceptional sound, crystal clear vocals and you keep all the effects present on the audio tracks. The Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G delivers powerful audio in noisy environments, such as rooms with many devices with fans.
Precise measuring tools
The two large audio level meters on the front panel feature colored LEDs. You can choose between VU meter, PPM and Loudness but also between EBU or BBC scales. The many segments corresponding to the audio levels allow control of a wide dynamic range, ranging from -45 to +3 decibels, -12 to +12 decibels or 0 to 7 decibels depending on the scale you use. You can also measure loudness using the Loudness, K‑weighted, Full Scale (LKFS), which normalizes audio levels for television broadcasting. The audio level meters are illuminated and therefore extremely easy to read in any environment.
Machined aluminum design
Its machined metal housing offers elegance and robustness, essential characteristics for obtaining sound without vibration and parasitic noise. The sleek front panel features audio level meters, an LCD display and touchless volume control to prevent hiss. To select two audio channels, the left or right channel and the Mute and Input functions, use the integrated illuminated keypad. Additionally, the front panel features a headphone jack for monitoring.
