Gibson's Flying V™ is considered an iconic model by today's guitarists. First released in 1958, and then again in subsequent decades, it has steadily gained in popularity, particularly among guitarists who love metal and hard rock. For many, the 1980s marked the guitar's peak of popularity. Gibson's 80s Flying V is based on the popular 1984 models. It features a SlimTaper™ mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard that ensure ease of play. The inimitably shaped mahogany body is adorned with new 80s Tribute pickups that accurately reproduce the unique fat sound and rich sustain of the models of the era. Now available in ebony. A custom hard case is also included.
